Remembering Mrs. Patricia Johnson

Patricia W. Johnson died peacefully at her home on April 28, 2023 after a brief illness. She was a pillar of the South DeKalb County community, having opened Johnson's Learning Center (JLC) in 1980 alongside her husband, Wesley, in Gresham Park, where the center remains today.

JLC's first student graduated kindergarten in 1983. Remarkably, that student's youngest child also graduated from JLC kindergarten in May of 2023. This is just one example of the multigenerational impact of Mrs. Johnson's educational institution. Her dedication and commitment to the Gresham Park community was unwavering, making her an emblematic figure in our neighborhood.
